13% Off eBid Flash Sale + eBay and 'zine Updates

First off, check out my eBid store: https://www.ebid.net/us/users/dynakor/listings/ For the next two days (until 20 April, 2022) get 13% off all photos.

So, the sale is because of eBay and their shenanigans.  As you know, eBay eliminated their "adult" categories last year. They are saying no explicit photos as well. That said, I do have some nudes, both erotic and non-erotic, up on eBay. Some are censored. Some aren't. I tend to censor the more erotic nudes, as that's what I've seen other sellers doing.

Over the weekend, eBay ended about 20 of my listings. I looked at the list and scratched my head. Sure, there were some risque/erotic photos of these models, but NO full frontal nudity involved in any of them. Ended. Just like that. Policy violation they said. Today, when uploading photos of Richard (the model in this post), I took the nudes over to eBid. There are still a couple of risque shots posted, but... now it's better safe than sorry.

I had been hoping I could downplay my eBid store in my daily work-load. I had even been taking this month off from eBid. It looks like I won't be able to do that. What's frustrating is: when customers email me, via eBay, asking about nudes, I am unable to send them to eBid because of eBay's policies. I can get suspended for doing so.

What's more frustrating is: many of my buyers have been with me for years, and they know about eBid but won't go there. I also have sent flyers out with orders, giving the eBid address, but these buyers don't seem to go either. I don't understand this. I buy stuff online as well, and if a seller I like has to go to another site, I follow them. That said, I feel that the market for physical prints is probably dying out.

I have considered taking photos over to Etsy to sell. IF I do this, it will be from a secondary shop most likely. I will keep the primary shop for my art. I will also likely be offering digital downloads instead of physical prints. Though, if enough people are interested in physical prints on Etsy, and they let me know this, I will consider it.

Magazines: This past month, I put together an updated and expanded version of Korok Studios Beefcake #1. My idea came from the fact that on Amazon, I can offer hardback books now. Sooooo..... Amazon rejected the new version of the book. Even though I have paperwork, I guess I didn't have the paperwork they wanted, or the way they wanted it. Still not clear on that. ALL the beefcake zines I have previously posted are still up there on Amazon! Woo hoo!

I will likely be offering the updated and expanded Korok Studios Beefcake on Blurb instead. I want to do expanded versions of all the zines I've put together, though all under the KSB name. I will be doing this on Blurb, or at least that's the plan. We'll see if they give me crap about it or not.

In addition to the new version of KSB #1, I am thinking about doing a funding drive for it through IndieGoGo. If I go this route, I will likely try to expand it a little further, and possibly offer a special issue of KSX (the zine on Blurb that deals with nude photos) featuring models from KSB #1. Any interest in this? Let me know.

That's all I have for you today. Thanks for putting up with my ramblings. If you want to check out the eBay store, here it is: https://stores.ebay.com/korokstudios
